How to make sharp edges

Sharp, flawless edges make all the difference. Here is how masking tape can help you achieve a professional result.
Preparing with tape
For the best results, use long, continuous strips where possible, as fewer breaks mean cleaner lines. Roll out about a metre of tape at a time, fixing it as straight as possible. Once satisfied with the placement, press it down firmly, smoothing out any air bubbles with your fingers to ensure a tight seal. This helps prevent paint from seeping underneath.
Carefully apply tape around all areas you want to protect, such as window frames, sockets, light switches, skirting boards, door handles, and door frames.

Painting
When painting, always work away from the edge of the tape to avoid pushing paint underneath. Take your time and let the tape do the work of keeping lines sharp and clean.
For the best finish, remove the masking tape while the paint is still slightly wet or within 24 hours. Carefully peel it back at an angle for the sharpest results.
